I have a smile this morning. Yes, I got through most of the track workout. Only modified the end, per instructions of coach.
Steve Sarro (physical therapist) talked with me a bit about the injury... then warmed up with Stephanie and Dave Hirst, who are in the illness avoiding part of their taper for Chicago. Above is a photo of Steph smokin' at New Bedford. My track group was Judge, Dan Frank and Paul Dilorenzo.
The only tragedy occurred after the 3rd mile of our cooldown in the dark, when the suddenly injury prone Judge twisted his ankle... hopefully ice fixed it.

The photo of Steph comes from Double-J's collection... it was motivating to see elites like him, Kara, Tina, Phil on the track last night.
Just looking at the photo, I can hear Fernando telling me to relax my arms...Little does he know that by that point in the race, I'd actually lost feeling from the elbows down.
Here's the life expectancy "calculator" I mentioned last night:
www.livingto100.com. Maybe you and Dave can be centenarians together.

Thanks Steph! You are a riot!
I am definitely not in that 'elite' category... Kara and Tina - Yes. I was hangin' on for dear life last night... Kara is FAST. Hope Scotty's ankle is ok... We need him at Baystate!!!
Double j is modest... he is so very much an elite runner!!
(Scott said his ankle is swollen)
Steph - life expectancy said 107... fun stuff, thanks.
The Judge is out of control. He has not ran with me for a week and injured himself twice in seven days!
I sense a new blog coming down the pike...

I will be ready for Bay State I'll limp if I have to
