PRofessor in Ice Bath



We GTD runners of PRofessor Braz know the ice bath. The theory is to speed recovery.

Goatie tries to do an ice bath every week after long run... also after races.

Yesterday reminded me that winter ice baths are less enjoyable, but need less ice. Doc D fortunately pointed out that they don't need to be -50 degrees. Tina the Machina's tip is wear socks & a hat during winter ice baths. Other creative ideas include the Triages who have a special system rigged up; Psycho did also, plus Punisher's kiddie pool.

Personal ice bath record: 4 ice baths in one week... the week between Lone Gull 10K and Baystate Marathon. That's nothing compared to an elite marathoner who I heard was doing 2 a day.
